Lori Lyn Narlock is a busy mom, wife, writer, cook, collector and patented inventor.
Her first two ebooks are “Super Burgers” and “Summer Smoothies. Lori is the author of several print cookbooks, including “Small Plates, Perfect Wines,” the “Wine Lover’s Guide to the Best of Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino,” the “Food Lover’s Companion to the Napa Valley” and is the co-author of “smoothies,” “wraps,” and “Cocktail Food.” She has ghostwritten the recipe section of the “Niman Ranch Cookbook,” the “Cakebread Cellars Cookbook” and the “Il Fornaio Pasta Book.”
Lori’s work also includes a few stints writing for and working at magazines, including “Fine Cooking,” “San Francisco Chronicle,” and “Bon Appetit,” where she served as editor of the magazine’s quarterly newsletter; wrote and food-styled special sections for the magazine; and organized and conducted cooking demonstrations and special events.
Lori has taught recipe writing classes to professionals and enthusiasts at Tante Marie’s Cooking School, The Learning Annex, and Cakebread Cellars’ Harvest Workshop in addition to private classes.
Her comprehensive career in the culinary industry includes developing her own award-winning recipes for wineries; food manufacturers, and recipe-imprinted kitchenware items; testing recipes for magazines and books; and working as a pantry cook at the Washington Square Bar & Grill during its heyday in the 1980s.
Additionally, Lori has extensive marketing experience in the food and beverage industry, including work performed for Wilson Daniels, Robert Mondavi, Icon Estates, Kraft, Ghirardelli, and Takara Sake.
